Conditions we treat

Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a common condition that affects individuals of all ages. It occurs when urine is involuntarily leaked (under exertion like a cough, with exercise or with urgency) and often occurs due to pelvic floor muscle weakness, pelvic organ prolapse, insuffiecient pressure management strategies or poor bladder habits. Whilst incontinence is quite common, it is important to know that incontinence doesn't have to be a normal part of life.

It can cause a range symptoms including but not limited to bulging, heaviness, and incomplete bladder or bowel emptying. Fortunately, there are many ways to manage prolapse, including pelvic floor muscle strengthening, pressure management, and fitting a medical-grade silicone device called a pessary.
